Walnut is a milk chocolate brown wood that comes from the Eastern Canada and United States. It can sometimes be a light pale colour and develop a subtle purple hue. It has a medium texture with a moderately straight grain. It is massively popular amongst woodworkers and incredibly cooperative for turning and finishing.

Each block measures approximately 1-1/2" square × 6" long, offering plenty of material for a wide range of turning projects. The wood is skip planed, meaning only the high points have been lightly planed, leaving a natural, textured surface that’s ideal for turning.
