Walnut is a milk chocolate brown wood that comes from the Eastern Canada and United States. It can sometimes be a light pale colour and develop a subtle purple hue. It has a medium texture with a moderately straight grain. It is massively popular amongst woodworkers and incredibly cooperative for turning and finishing.
What are the dimensions of this block?
Each blank measures approximately 3" square × 12" long (76.2 mm × 76.2 mm × 304.8 mm). Please note dimensions may vary ± 1/8" (± 3.2 mm). The picture is a typical representation. The wood is skip planed, meaning only the high points have been lightly planed, leaving a natural, textured surface that’s ideal for turning.
