Walnut is a milk chocolate brown wood that comes from the Eastern Canada and United States. It can sometimes be a light pale colour and develop a subtle purple hue. It has a medium texture with a moderately straight grain. It is massively popular amongst woodworkers and incredibly cooperative for turning and finishing.

This spindle blank measures approximately 3" square by 12" long, giving you plenty of material for a wide range of turning projects. The wood is skip planed, meaning only the high points have been lightly planed, leaving a natural, textured surface that’s ideal for turning. Each blank is selected at random and may vary slightly from the image shown.
