The ceramic mill grinder kit with adjustable shaft gives you the flexibility to create a custom salt or pepper mill from 4" to 12" long overall. The kit features a premium ceramic grinding mechanism that will never rust and is fully adjustable for different levels of coarseness. An internal spring catch eliminates the need for an external adjustment knob, giving your finished mill a clean, professional look.

What does the kit include?

This kit includes a ceramic grinding mechanism with a 10" shaft (cut to your desired length), undrilled peppermill top, internal spring catch system. 

What do I need to make this kit? 

To make this kit, you will need (sold separately):

• Forstner bits: 7/8", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", 1-3/4"

• Forstner bit extension (4" or 9", depending on grinder length)

• 1-1/2" jam chuck

This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly with proper equipment. You will not receive a finished grinder. We recommend thoroughly reviewing the assembly instructions before purchasing, as this is an advanced-level project.

What size blank do I need to make this kit? 

To make this kit, you will need a blank for the base minimum 4" to 9" long (depending on the length you want your grinder to be) by 2-1/2 to 3" square. For the head, you'll need a blank 2" by 2-1/2" to 3" square. Shown here in mahogany (blank not included).
