What do I need to complete this project?

To complete this project, you will need the following tools (sold separately):

• 1-1/2" Forstner bit
• 1-1/16" Forstner bit
• 9" FEX Forstner bit extension
• 7 mm drill bit
• 1" jam chuck
• Drill chuck
• 60° live centre

This is an advanced woodworking turning project requiring turning, drilling, finishing and assembly using standard woodworking equipment. You will receive project components only — not a finished pepper or salt mill. We strongly recommend reading the assembly instructions before purchasing.

What size blank do I need for this project?

You'll need a blank that is at least 2-1/2" square (63.5 mm). The length of the base blank should be approximately 7-1/2" long (190.5 mm), and the head blank 2-1/16" (52.4 mm) long.
