What size is this blank?
Each spindle blank measures approximately 2" square by 12" long. This larger format makes it ideal for projects such as bottle stoppers, pizza cutters, ice cream scoop handles, and other spindle-turned accessories that benefit from extra length and thickness.
What does “stabilized” mean?
Stabilized refers to wood that has been impregnated with resin under pressure, reinforcing softer or highly figured areas and eliminating weak spots. This creates a blank that drills cleanly, turns smoothly, and resists tear-out or blowouts. Each blank is unique and will be selected at random. Some colour variability is normal due to differences in wood density and how the resin and dye are absorbed. We do not offer refunds for colour variation within a blank or for minor internal imperfections.

How should I finish this blank?
For best results we recommend finishing with thin CA glue, sand using Abranet, refine with Micro Mesh, and polish with a plastic polish like Novus or One-Step to achieve a smooth, durable, high-gloss shine.
