Basics pizza cutter kit – 4" stainless steel cutting wheel

Create your own custom pizza cutter that’s both stylish and functional! This pizza cutter kit features a durable 4" stainless steel cutting wheel — perfect for slicing your favourite homemade pizza with ease. The comfortable handle design makes it ideal for everyday use or as a thoughtful handmade gift.

What do I need to make this kit?

To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately):

• Bottle stopper mandrel BSMAND-38-16

• 11/32" drill bit

• 3/8 x 16 tpi tap

• Live centre

• Jacobs chuck or drill chuck 

What is the minimum blank size? 

The minimum blank size: 1-1/2" square x 5" long.

What else do I need to know? 

The wheel is designed to be adjustable by loosening or tightening the screw, allowing each person to set it to their preferred feel. You will likely need to adjust the screw before using the cutter; if you don’t, the wheel won’t turn properly.

The threaded insert lets you remove the handle for cleaning. To install:

1. Drill a hole 13.2 mm / 0.52" deep using a 33/64" drill bit.

2. Glue the insert in place.

3. Mount your project onto the bottle stopper mandrel and you’re ready to turn!

Alternatively, use the bottle stopper drill and tap set to create and thread the hole. This kit is similar to the Heirloom pizza cutter kit we sold previously.

This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly with standard woodworking tools. You will not receive a finished pizza cutter.
