The Music twist ballpoint pen kit V2 celebrates the art of music with beautifully detailed design elements that will strike a chord with any musician or music lover. The pen cap features a realistically detailed snare drum, the clip replicates the head, neck, and strings of a guitar, the center band displays piano keys, and the pen tip features music notes and symbols — all brought together in perfect harmony.

What tooling do I need to make this kit?

To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately):

• 8 mm drill bit

• Pen mill shaft 8 mm

• Bushing set PKMUSBU (V2 only)

• Mandrel A/7 mm

The Music twist pen kit design has changed. These V2 (Version 2 – Fall 2023) kits are compatible with the V2 Music twist bushing set only.

What is the minimum blank size I need to make this kit?

You will need a pen blank at least 3/4" square × 5" long to allow enough material for turning and trimming. Shown here with Redheart pen blank (blank sold separately).

What refill do I need for this kit?

This kit includes a Parker-style refill, known for its smooth ink flow and easy replacement. Compatible with a wide range of Parker-style refills in different ink colours and styles.

You can also turn this pen into a pencil with the Parker-style Forever pencil refill — simply replace the pen refill and spring with the pencil refill for a writing instrument that never needs sharpening or replacement.

Please note: This is a woodturning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly using woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.
