What’s the difference between mica and glitter powder?
Mica powder is very fine and stays suspended in the resin longer, allowing you to create swirls, waves, and layered effects. Glitter powder is more granular and slightly heavier, so it settles more and creates bold, light-catching highlights.
How much powder do I need to use?
A general guideline for mica powder is two teaspoons for four standard pen blanks (7/8" square × 5" long).
Pro tip: Mix a little glitter into your mica powder blends for an extra pop of sparkle.
Anything else I should know?
Mica powder pigment is intended for casting resins such as Alumilite. It is not compatible with Cactus Juice stabilizing resin.
