Maple Leaf rollerball pen kit – with postable end cap

The Maple Leaf rollerball pen kit features a postable end cap that screws securely onto the back of the pen body while in use. Designed with elegant maple leaf accents, this pen makes a distinctive gift or collectible. Exclusive to William Wood-Write!

What tooling do I need to make this kit? 

To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately):

• Drill bits: 27/64 and Letter V. In place of the Letter V drill bit, you can also use a 3/8 drill bit. 

• Bushing set: 119A

• Mandrel A/7mm

• Pen mill shafts: 27/64 and 3/8

Important notes:

• This kit is not compatible with the single-barrel Maple Leaf twist ballpoint kit (bushings 104A) or the 127A bushing set for maple leaf key ring (sorry!). 

• The 3/8 pen mill shaft can be used to mill the ends of the lower barrel drilled with the Letter V bit.

This is a woodworking turning project that requires drilling, turning, finishing, and assembly using woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.

What refill does this take?

This kit uses a Schmidt rollerball refill for smooth, reliable writing.

What size blank do I need?

Use a blank measuring a minimum of 3/4" square by 5" long, which provides ample material for drilling, turning, and trimming during assembly. Shown here with a Box Elder Burl Flame pen blank (blank not included).
