These blanks are hand-poured in Canada by our team of artisans in Guelph, Ontario, using Alumilite resin and glitter mica powder. The glitter is densely packed for intense depth and shimmer, making each finished pen a true showpiece. Product of Canada.

What is included in this bundle?

This bundle contains six glitter pen blanks, with one blank in each colour: Flare, Martian, Neptune, Shooting Star, Universe, and Orange.

What are the dimensions of the blanks?

Each blank measures approximately 3/4" diameter by 5" long. Because these blanks are hand-cast, minor variation is normal.

How do these blanks turn on the lathe?

These glitter blanks are easy to turn and behave much like acrylic acetate pen blanks. They cut cleanly with sharp tools and are suitable for both beginner and experienced pen turners.

How should I finish these blanks?

We recommend wet sanding through the grits and finishing with a plastic polish such as Novus or One-Step to achieve a high-clarity, glossy finish that really lets the glitter shine.

NOTE: We strongly recommend that you paint the outside of the brass pen tube in your kit and the inside of the hole you drill in the blank before gluing the brass tube into the blank. Otherwise your brass tube may show through. The colour you choose to paint your blank can change the appearance of your finished blank.  We recommend a durable paint like enamel that can be purchased at most hobby stores.

We do not replace blanks that become damaged during cutting, drilling, trimming, turning, finishing, or assembly.
