Padauk is a vibrant tropical hardwood from Central and West Africa, often called “Vermillion.” Freshly cut, it shows a bright pink-orange color that deepens to a rich red-brown as it ages. Its straight grain, medium texture, and durability make it a joy to work with — producing pens that are both striking and long-lasting.
