Ring turning

If you’re ready to expand your pen turning skills, ring turning is a natural next step. It’s a great way to use smaller materials while creating something you can wear, gift, or sell. 

One-piece and two-piece rings: Turned on the lathe using familiar techniques. One-piece Lifestyle rings can be made on a standard pen mandrel (that's you're lowest cost option!). And both Lifestyle rings and the two-piece JDG rings can be made using a specialized expandable ring mandrel for greater precision. One-piece rings are intermediate level project, whereas two-piece rings are more advanced.

Inlay rings: Instead of traditional blanks, these use materials like crushed opal and other inlays to create bold, decorative designs.
