To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately):

• 10 mm drill bit
  Bushing set 106A
  Pen mill shaft 10 mm and 25/64
  Mandrel A/7 mm

This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly using woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished item.

What size pen blank do I need?

This kit requires a pen blank measuring a minimum of 3/4" square by 5" long (blank not included). This gives you enough material for turning, shaping, and trimming during the turning process. Shown here in Purpleheart (not included).

What refill does this kit take?

This kit uses a standard “Parker”-style ballpoint refill, which is widely available and easy to replace. Upgrade with a Schmidt P900 ink refill, or premium Parker-style ink refills from Beaufort Ink. For a refill that glides across the page like a rollerball, try the Schmidt Easy Flow 9000. The kit comes with one standard black-ink refill; all others are sold separately.

Can this kit be turned into a pencil?

Yes! Turn this kit into a pencil with the Parker-style Forever pencil refill (sold separately). Just remove the pen refill, slip the spring onto the pencil refill, and insert the pencil refill into the pen kit.
