Stabilized Fineline Spalted Maple pen blanks. Blanks measure minimum 3/4" x 3/4" x 5".
Stabilization refers to impregnating soft wood with resin, creating a stronger blank that is easier to work with. The blanks in the picture have been sanded to show the figuring.
Your blanks will be selected at random. The blank in the photograph is representative only. Some colour variability is to be expected - this is because different blanks have different densities that will affect how the wood absorbs resin. We do not offer refunds for colour variability within the blank or other slight internal imperfections.
Easy to drill and turn - we recommend finishing with thin cyanoacrylate glue, abranet, micro mesh and a plastic polish for a smooth, high gloss shine.
