Design your own Pearlux pen blanks!

Create your own one-of-a-kind 3/4" square × 5" long Pearlux pen blank colour mix by choosing up to three colours from the photos and typing the colour names into the text fields above. Each Pearlux blank is made to order by our in-house artisans in Guelph, Ontario based on your selected colour combination.

Every Pearlux blank is individually hand-poured, so natural variation in colour patterns, swirling, and distribution is normal and expected. Each piece is one of a kind.

What are the dimensions of these blanks?

Each blank measures approximately 3/4" square × 5" long (19 mm x 19 mm x 127 mm). 

How do I order my custom Pearlux pen blanks?

1. Refer to the colour names shown in the product photos. 
2. Type 1 to 3 colour names in the fields above. 
3. Enter your desired quanity and add to cart! 
4. Check out as usual. We will make every effort ship your custom blanks within 5 business days of your order being placed. If your order contains other items, the entire order will be shipped together once your custom blanks are ready.
   
   

Can I return or exchange my custom Pearlux blanks? What about volume discounts?

Colours may appear slighly different depending on your computer/phone screen. Because these blanks are custom made especially for you, they are not eligible for return or exchange. Volume discounts and Mix & Match pricing do not apply to custom blanks.

How can I finish these blanks? 

We recommend a wet sanding method with Micro Mesh sheets to smooth the surface. Start from around 1,500 grit and go up to 12,000 grit, wet sanding with water to create a fine slurry that highlights any scratches to buff out. After sanding, apply a plastic friction polish like Novus or One-Step while the blank is spinning on the lathe. Use a clean shop towel to buff the polish in, creating a glossy, protective finish.

What else should I know?

Colour variability and slight internal imperfections are not considered defects, and we do not offer refunds for these natural characteristics.

Tip: We strongly recommend painting both the outside of the brass pen tube and the inside of the drilled hole before gluing the tube into the blank. Otherwise, the brass tube may show through lighter or translucent areas. The paint colour you choose can also affect the final appearance of the finished blank. A durable enamel paint from a hobby store works well.

Pearlux pen blanks are handcrafted by the William Wood-Write artisan team in Guelph, Ontario using high-quality Alumilite resin. Each blank features rich depth, shimmer, and a unique hand-poured character. Made in Canada.
