What tooling do I need to make this kit?

To make this turning project, you will need (all sold separately):

• Bushing set MIS-RB-FP-BU (also referred to as “bushes” in the instructions)

• Drill bits 15/32" and 25/64"

• Pen mill shafts 10 mm/25/64", and 15/32"

• Mandrel: A/7 mm

This is a woodworking turning project that requires drilling, turning, finishing, and assembly using standard woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.

What refill does this kit take?

The Mistral rollerball pen kit uses a Beaufort rollerball refill. Additional compatible rollerball refills like Schmidt 888 of the same format can also be used.

What size blank do I need?

We recommend using a pen blank measuring at least 3/4" square × 5", giving you enough material for drilling and shaping. Shown here with a Redwood Lace Burl pen blank (not included).
