What tooling do I need to make this pen?

To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately):

• 10 mm drill bit

• 25/64" drill bit

• Bushing set HON-BEE-BU

• 10 mm–25/64" pen mill shaft

• Pen mandrel A / 7 mm

This is a woodworking turning project that requires drilling, turning, finishing and assembly using woodworking equipment. You will receive the pen kit components, not a finished pen.

What is the minimum blank size?

The recommended minimum blank size is 3/4" square × 5" (19 × 19 × 127 mm), suitable for most standard pen turning projects. The finished pen shown is made with our AA-509 Gold Rush acrylic pen blank, which is sold separately.

What type of ink refill does this pen use?

The Honeybee pen kit includes a black ink Parker-style ballpoint refill. When the ink runs out, you can replace it with another compatible Parker-style refill.

Is this kit available as a pencil? 

You can also convert your Honeybee pen into a pencil by replacing the ballpoint refill with a compatible Parker-style Forever Pencil refill (sold separately). The Forever Pencil uses a long-lasting metal alloy tip that doesn't require sharpening, making it a convenient alternative for notes, sketches or everyday use.
