Hard maple, also known as sugar maple, is a dense, fine-grained hardwood that turns cleanly and polishes to a brilliant finish. Its creamy colour and subtle grain make it a favourite for spindles, bowls, cutting boards, and fine furniture.

What are the dimensions of these blanks?

Each blank measures approximately 3" square × 12" long (76.2 mm × 76.2 mm × 304.8 mm). Please note dimensions may vary ± 1/8" (± 3.2 mm). The picture is a typical representation. Your blanks will be selected at random and may differ slightly from the image. The wood is skip planed, meaning only the high points have been lightly planed, leaving a natural, textured surface that’s ideal for turning.
