Designed and engineered to sit amongst the highest quality pen kits available, the Cyclone fountain pen kit by Beaufort features premium quality platings. Each Cyclone fountain pen kit comes with a standard size 6 two-tone fountain pen nib, a Beaufort ink pump (converter), and an ink cartridge. These components provide everything needed for the internal mechanism of your finished pen.
What tooling do I need to make this kit?
To make this turning project, you will need (all sold separately):
Bushing set CYC-RB-FP-BU
Drill bits 10.5 mm and 12.5 mm
Pen mill shafts 10.5 mm and 31/64"
Note: the 12.5 mm pen mill is extremely tight inside the upper tube. We recommend sizing down to a 31/64" shaft or squaring the blank on a disk sander.

What refills does this kit take?
The Cyclone fountain pen kit uses standard international ink cartridges and includes a Beaufort ink pump for filling with bottled fountain pen ink. It is also compatible with a Bock size 6 (type 250) nib for those who want to upgrade or customize the fountain pen nib.
What size blank do I need?
We recommend using a blank measuring at least 3/4" square by 5", giving you ample material for drilling and shaping both barrels. Shown here with Stabilized buckeye burl pen blank (blank not included). This is a woodworking turning project that requires drilling, turning, finishing, and assembly using standard woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.
