What do I need to make this kit?

To make this kit, you will need the following tooling - which is the same as you use for the Headwind pen kit (all sold separately):

• bushing set HW-SOL-BP-BU

• 11/32 drill bit

• 11/32 pen mill shaft

• pen mandrel A / 7 mm

This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly using woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.

What refill does this kit use?

This pen uses a Parker-style ballpoint refill. Each kit includes a Beaufort Ink Parker-style ballpoint refill. 

Is this kit available as a pencil?

Yes. You can easily turn this pen kit into a pencil by swapping the ink refill for a Parker-style Forever pencil refill (sold separately). No additional tooling is required—just install the pencil refill in place of the ink refill.

What blank size do I need?

A blank measuring 3/4" square × 5" long (19 mm x 19 mm x 127 mm) works well for Solano kits.
