What is this tool used for?

This tool is used to chamfer (bevel) the inside edge of your pen tube before pressing in components. By removing the sharp inner edge, it allows pen parts to seat smoothly and evenly — helping prevent cracking, splitting, or stress fractures in your blank during assembly. It’s especially helpful when working with brittle woods, stabilized blanks, acrylics, or figured material where extra pressure can easily cause damage.

How do I use it?

Using the tool is quick and easy:

• Insert the deburring tool into the pen tube.
  Rotate clockwise by hand with light pressure.
  2–3 turns is usually enough.
