What is the minimum blank size I need to make this kit?
You will need a pen blank at least 3/4" square × 5" long (19 mm x 19 mm x 127 mm) to allow enough material for turning and trimming. Shown here with the Lava Lamp “Water Nymph” blank (no longer available). This is a woodworking project kit – you’ll turn, sand, finish, and assemble it yourself. Pen blank not included.
What refill do I need for this kit?

What kind of batteries does this kit take?
Batteries (L736F) are included and can be replaced with commonly available ones from Amazon, Walmart, or even some dollar stores.
