What tooling do I need to make these kits?
To make these pen kits, you will need (all sold separately):
- 8 mm drill bit
- 8 mm pen mill shaft
- A/7 mm pen mandrel
- Bushing set 95A
These are woodworking turning projects that require turning, finishing, and assembly using standard woodworking tools. You will not receive finished pens.
What size blank do I need?
Each pen requires one blank measuring 3/4" square by 5" long, providing adequate material for drilling, turning, and trimming. Blanks not included.
What refill does this kit use?
Each kit includes a standard rollerball ink refill and is compatible with Schmidt-style rollerball refills (such as Schmidt 888), making replacements easy to source when needed. For a splash of colour, try the Pentel EnerGel rollerball ink refills.
