White limba, also known as korina, comes from West Africa and is valued for its golden-yellow to light brown tones and distinctive dark streaks. It’s easy to turn, sands smoothly, and finishes beautifully with a natural satin sheen.

White limba was famously used in the 1950s to make Gibson Explorer and Flying V electric guitars because of its tone and striking grain.
Despite its light weight, limba is surprisingly strong and stable, making it ideal for both turning and fine woodworking projects.
