Manufactured in Ontario to strict specifications, this two-piece JDG stainless steel ring core is designed for producing high-quality custom wood, resin and inlay rings. The innovative two-piece design allows the decorative ring band to be mounted between the two stainless steel sections. Once the ring has been assembled and polished, the seam inside the ring becomes almost invisible, creating a clean, professional appearance.
Stainless steel is highly durable, rust resistant and hypoallergenic, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear.
What ring sizes are available?
Ring cores are available in full and half sizes from ring size 4 to 12.5. Please select your desired ring size from the drop-down menu before adding the item to your cart.
What does the 4 mm width refer to?
The 4 mm measurement refers to the width of the wooden, resin or inlay band that you will turn and mount onto the ring core. The finished ring will be wider because of the exposed stainless steel edges.

Please note that not every ring size is available in every ring width.
What tooling is required?
This is a precision ring-making system. Each ring core requires a JDG expanding ring mandrel that matches the specific ring size being made. Mandrels are sold separately. Before assembling your ring, the two sections of the ring core must be separated. A ring separation tool is available separately as an option (see Related Products). Please read the complete instructions in the Documents tab before beginning your project.
Is this a finished ring?
No. This is a woodworking turning project. You will need to turn, sand, finish and assemble the ring using appropriate woodworking tools and equipment. The ring shown is turned from Stabilized Maple Burl Rose. Ring blank not included.
