Exotic wood 3/4" pen blank discount bundle – 9 stunning species, endless possibilities

Discover the beauty of some of the world’s most striking hardwoods — all in one value-packed bundle. Perfect for turners who love variety — try something new with every blank!

What are the dimensions of these blanks?

Each blank measures approximately 3/4" square × 5" long, ready for your next pen-turning project. The photo shown is a typical representation; your bundle will be selected at random — a great way to explore new species and discover new favourites.

What is included in this bundle?

This 9-piece exotic wood pen blank assortment includes one blank each of:

Black Limba – Known for its dramatic grain contrast and smooth turning qualities. Black Limba is the same species often used in electric guitar bodies.

Bloodwood – Deep red tones that polish to a brilliant, glass-like shine. Bloodwood gets its name from the deep red resin that oozes when it’s freshly cut.

Bocote – Bold black striping that makes every piece one of a kind. Bocote is naturally oily, which helps it resist rot and moisture.

Bubinga – Dense and durable, with a rich reddish-brown hue and natural shimmer. Bubinga is sometimes called “African Rosewood” and is used for luxury car interiors.

Caribbean Rosewood – Warm golden-brown with swirling grain and a sweet rose-like aroma. Caribbean Rosewood (Chechen) is a favourite among carvers for its sweet, spicy scent.

Leopardwood – Named for its speckled, leopard-like flecks that catch the light beautifully. Leopardwood’s signature spots come from large medullary rays in the grain.

Padauk – Vibrant orange-red that deepens with age into a warm mahogany tone. Padauk was once used in ancient African ceremonial carvings.

Wenge – Dark, chocolate brown streaked with black — sleek, sophisticated, and stable. Wenge’s coarse texture gives it a tactile appeal that pen turners love.

Yellowheart – Bright, sunshine yellow wood that stays vivid and turns cleanly. Yellowheart (also called Pau Amarello) is prized for its naturally vivid colour—no dye needed!
