What is Pens Plus finish made of?
Formulated with walnut oil, shellac, and microaggregated microcrystal wax (Cosmolloid 80H), this finish produces a hard, durable surface with excellent water resistance. The microaggregation process creates wax particles so fine they act like a liquid. Heat from friction polishing drives the oil into the wood, sets the shellac, and melts the wax, allowing it to flow over the surface. The result is a high-lustre shine with greater clarity and superior water resistance.
