Credit card mini pen kit

Turn a compact, clever writing instrument with this credit card mini pen kit. Designed to slip easily into a wallet or card holder, this ultra-small pen is a fun, practical project that turns quickly and makes a great novelty gift or add-on item.

What tooling do I need to make this kit?

To make this turning project, you will need the following tools (all sold separately):

• 7 mm drill bit
  7 mm pen mill
  Mandrel A/7 mm
  Bushing set 1A

The tooling requirements are the same as those used for Slimline pen kits. This is a do-it-yourself woodworking turning project that requires drilling, turning, finishing, and assembly using woodworking equipment. You will not receive a finished pen.

What refill does this pen take?

This kit uses mini refills (MINI-REFILL-5). When replacing the refill, remember to remove the refill guide from the old refill and attach it to the new one before installation.

What size blank should I use?

This kit can be turned from standard size pen blanks, 3/4" square x 5" long. Shown here with a Caribbean Rosewood (blank not included). The finished pen measures approximately 3-1/2" long.
