What tooling do I need to make this kit?
To make this kit, you will need (all sold separately): 7 mm drill bit 7 mm pen mill shaft Bushing set 14A Mandrel A/7 mm This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing, and assembly using standard woodworking tools. You will not receive a finished pen.
What size pen blank do I need?
This kit requires a pen blank measuring 3/4" square by 5" long. This provides plenty of material for turning, shaping, and trimming during the process. Blanks measuring 5/8" square can also be used. Shown here in Padauk (blank not included).
What refill does this pen use?
This pen uses a Cross-type ballpoint refill.
Can this kit be turned into a pencil?
Yes. This kit can be converted into a pencil using a Cross-style Forever pencil refill. Simply remove the ink refill and replace it with the pencil refill to create a versatile writing instrument or a matching pen-and-pencil set.
Can I make any other pen kits with the same tooling?
Yes! If you have the tooling to make this kit, you can also make Budget Easyline and Budget Comfort pen kits.
