A clean, versatile bundle of solid acrylic pen blanks that belong in every turner’s shop. These classic colours are easy to pair with almost any pen kit and polish up to a high-gloss finish that never goes out of style.

What is included in this bundle?

You’ll receive three high-quality acrylic pen blanks: one each of AA-25 Black, AA-618 Solid Blue, and AA-619 Solid Purple.

What are the dimensions of these blanks?

Each blank measures approximately 3/4" square by 5" long, making them suitable for most pen kits and small turning projects. We do not replace blanks that become damaged during cutting, drilling, trimming, turning, finishing, or assembly.

Why should I paint my brass tubes?

Acrylic blanks—especially lighter or semi-translucent colours—can sometimes reveal the brass tube after drilling and turning. Painting both the outside of the brass tube and the inside of the drilled hole helps prevent this from showing through and gives you more control over the final colour of the finished pen. The paint colour you choose can subtly influence the look of the acrylic once turned. For best results, use a durable enamel paint, readily available at most hobby or craft stores.

How do you recommend finishing these blanks?

Wet sand progressively using Micro-Mesh up to 12,000 grit, then polish with a plastic polish for a glass-smooth finish. Alternatively, you can use Superior Grit Abrasive Paste Original followed by Superior Grit Micro Fine for excellent clarity and shine.
