What is included in this bundle?
Each bundle includes one of each of the following pen kits in matching plating: Budget Easyline, Budget Comfort, Budget Streamline
What tooling do I need to make these kits?
All three pen kits use the same tooling, making it easy to switch between styles without changing your setup. To make these kits, you will need (all sold separately):
- 7 mm drill bit
- 7 mm pen mill shaft
- Bushing Set 14A or Basics Bushing Set – Easyline, Streamline & Comfort
- Pen mandrel A / 7 mm
This is a woodworking turning project that requires turning, finishing and assembly using standard woodworking tools. You will receive pen kits only — not finished pens.
What size pen blank do I need?
Each kit requires a pen blank measuring 3/4" square × 5 in. (19 × 127 mm). This provides plenty of material for turning, shaping and trimming during the process. Pen blanks measuring 5/8 in. square (16 mm) can also be used. Pen blanks are sold separately.
What refills do these pens use?
All three pen kits use a Cross-style ballpoint refill, which is included in each kit.
Can these kits be turned into pencils?
Yes. All three pen kits can be converted into pencils using a Cross-style Forever pencil refill. Simply replace the ink refill with the pencil refill to create a reusable pencil or a matching pen-and-pencil set.
Can I make other pen kits with the same tooling?
Yes. Once you have the tooling for this collection, you can also turn individual Budget Easyline, Budget Comfort and Budget Streamline pen kits whenever you like.
