Project block Leopardwood. Approximate blank size 1-1/2" square by 6" long.
Leopardwood comes from Central and Southern America, and lives up to its name with spots and flecking like the coat of a leopard. Its unique look is also commonly referred to as ‘lace’ figuring. With pronounced contrasts in red-brown and caramel colours, the pattern glistens. The wood is relatively coarse and the beautiful speckled pattern hides the straight grain. Leopard wood is highly dense and the accents within the wood create an eye-catching finished product.
